69 billion plastic packaging is produced worldwide every year. Only 10% is recycled. The cardboard packaging for water is thus another step towards the global reduction of plastic consumption.
Tetrapak is making great progress regarding the development of more and more ecological packaging every year. After consumption, it belongs to the bin for beverage cartons.
In our company we know that every special event is unique and deserves a personal approach. That is why we are happy to offer you the possibility of creating your own mineral water packaging design. EKOLOK can thus become a perfect marketing tool.
Custom design can be used especially for:
500 ml of the best quality mineral water in a pack of 6/12 in a cardboard box. EKOLOK illustrates a simple way we can all help our planet while improving health and quality of life.
Our water comes from the German spring Abt. It is a natural resource located 100 meters below the earth's surface near the North Rhine Nature Reserve.
This spring is appreciated throughout Europe as one of the highest quality natural resources, and the history of its bottling is more than 120 years old. Thanks to careful quality control, today in Germany, products from this source are certified as organic.
Considering this, it was chosen as a source for EKOLOK.
In combination with the properties of the cardboard packaging, EKOLOK water maintains a perfect taste, which is incomparable to water from plastic packaging or tap water.
All wood used in the production of Tetrapak packaging for EKOLOK comes from Forest Stewardship Council™ certified forests. FSC™ has been around for over 25 years and is recognized as the highest global certification standard for forest management. Its logo is well known to consumers and confirms that managed forests are maintained in a way that preserves their biodiversity, benefits the lives of local people and ensures that the economic viability and sustainability of these forests is maintained.
The plastic used is made from sugarcane. Yes, indeed from sugarcane. So it does not come from fossil fuels like traditional plastics. The production of sugarcane for the production of plastics in our packaging is environmentally friendly, it does not use chemical fertilizers, nor is it genetically modified. At the same time, it does not compete with food production. Tetrapak, the company that produces the packaging for our water, is Bonsucro certified, which confirms that the entire process of producing plastic from sugarcane meets strict environmental, social and economic standards, as well as respecting human rights, labor standards, promoting biodiversity and compliance with EU directives.
